What we collect

Information you give us: name, email, shipping address, phone number, and payment details when you place an order or write to us.
Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is collected via essential cookies and, with your consent, analytics cookies.
Newsletter: only the email address you give us. We use it to send our monthly letter and nothing else.

How we use it

To process and ship your orders.
To respond to your messages.
To send our newsletter (only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe in one click).
To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful so we can improve them.
To meet legal obligations such as tax record-keeping.

What we never do

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising on this website.

Who we share with

We share the minimum necessary information with: payment processors (Stripe), shipping carriers (Sendle, USPS), our email service (Buttondown), and our hosting provider. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and only uses your information to perform their service for us.

Your rights — California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to: know what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, request correction or deletion, opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" (we do neither), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Email bing@washwellbio.com to make a request — we respond within 45 days.

Your rights — EU/UK (GDPR)

If you live in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Our lawful basis is contract performance (orders), consent (newsletter, analytics cookies) and legitimate interest (security and fraud prevention). Email bing@washwellbio.com to exercise any right.

Data retention

Order records: 7 years (US tax law). Email correspondence: 24 months. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Analytics: 14 months in aggregate, anonymized.

Security

This site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Payment data is handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers. Internal access to customer data is limited to the four people who work in the studio.

Children

Our products and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we materially change this policy we will email subscribers and post the new version here, dated at the top.
